A complete network covering the whole of the north of England. There are 5-6 trains an hour into Manchester City Centre taking around 20 minutes. This service is a true 24x7 operation.
Night services run along lines to Bolton, Rochdale, Leeds, York and Sheffield among others.
There are direct services as far afield as Newcastle.

National Express run comfortable direct coaches from Manchester Airport to a range of destinations as far afield as Glasgow and London. Frequencies are not as much as rail and journey times are usually slower, price is the key attraction here.
