Hotels near Piccadilly Station Manchester are a logical requirement for many visitors to Manchester.

Hotel Map		 Piccadilly Station is in the north eastern corner of the city centre. The city centre is a comparatively small place, from the station its no more than 20 minutes walk to any other point in the centre.

For those arriving at Piccadilly with luggage there are free, frequent minibuses that stop in the station forecourt. The free Metroshuttle bus (pictured below) operates to most points in the city centre area. The cities tram service has a station below the railway station where all trams on the network stop.
Around 400m from Piccadilly Station is Piccadilly Gardens. This is the main hub for local transport, around which most of the local buses terminate and the tram lines intersect.
Most visitors will exit Piccadilly Station and walk westwards up to Piccadilly. The road, Piccadilly is lined with fast food outlets, pubs, bakeries etc targeting the local passers by.
To the north of Piccadilly is an area being transformed. Formerly a dreary canal basin with large warehouses, the warehouses are being transformed into fashionable apartments and new buildings are going up all the time.

In Piccadilly Gardens you will often have a small market contrasting with the large store chains all around.
Physically the closest hotels to Piccadilly Station are the Malmaison Manchester and Alias Rossetti hotels. The Malmaison is all modern sophistication, the Alias Rosetti something more traditional with a building belonging to the railway era.
Both these two are towards the top end of the market.

Surprisingly for such a central landmark, all around Piccadilly Gardens more economical accommodation can be found. The two Britannia Hotels have room rates that fluctuate wildly, bargains can often be had at both. The Gardens Hotel is another on Piccadilly Gardens. The cheapest rooms at all three tend to be internal rooms.
The Thistle and Jarvis are large chain hotels offering 3 star facilities, again prices fluctuate wildly. Weekends tend to have the deepest discounts - except that is when Manchester United have a home game.
