On this page we focus on hotels in Manchester City Centre of a three star grade, offering value for money accommodation. This sector is dominated by the large chains including Best Western, Novotel and Jurys Inn.

Hotel Map		 The Britannia chain, based in Northern England have many hotels in the Manchester area that are often heavily discounted. In the city centre they have two hotels the Britannia and the Britannia Sachas, both off Piccadilly Gardens.

The Britannia Hotel is a local landmark, a grand old hotel on Portland Street just around from the main coach station and just 5 minutes walk to the department stores and Piccadilly Station.
Room rates here are highly volatile, as is the Sachas.
There is a good value flat fee buffet dinner in the basement of the Britannia.

Jurys Inn Near G-Mex Centre		 The Jarvis Piccadilly Hotel is in a prime position overlooking Piccadilly Gardens, the main local transport hub of the city centre. China Town is behind it, the shopping area in front and Piccadilly Station is only 5 minutes walk. In short, one of the best located hotels.

Many of the 3 star hotels are in a band off Portland Street running from Piccadilly Gardens down the length of the city centre to near the G-Mex and St Peter's Square at the southern end. The Gardens Hotel is one of the few independent hotels, also in a great position on the corner of Piccadilly Gardens nearest the station.

In a prime location close to the shopping, theatres, the G-Mex Exhibition centre and the MEN arena. Chinatown and the Gay Village, with their myriad of bars and restaurants a few minutes walk.
